Madge Davisson

Madge D. Davisson, 90 of Salem departed this life on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in River Oaks Nursing Home. She was born in Lumberport on February 9, 1926 a daughter of the late Oliver Chapman and Myrtle Comer Dye. On June 1945 she married Warren Davisson who preceded her in death in 1970.

Surviving are two sons, Brice Davisson and wife Judy, Salem, Kim Davisson and wife Derri, Clearwater, FL., grandchildren, Traci Ellis, and husband Hank, Kelley Davisson, Jonathan Davisson and wife Beka,& Leslie Gibson, great grandchildren, Frankie and Olivia Ellis, Kayla and Krista Carmichael, great great granddaughter, Makenna Carmichael, one sister, Pauline Rhinedorf, Akron, OH, several nieces and nephews. One son and daughter-in-law Lynn Royce and Nancy Davisson, five sisters and five brothers precede her in death.

Mrs. Davisson was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was Baptist. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11:00AM with Pastor Denver Burnside officiating. Interment will follow in the K of P Memorial Park, Salem. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 4-8PM. Harbert Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Davisson family.
