Marlene Marie Davidson 76 of Buffalo Calf Rd. Salem departed this life on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at her residence. She was born on April 18, 1939 on Long Run, Doddridge County a daughter of the late James M. and Mamie Mayle Pratt. On May 5, 1972 she married Walter V. Davidson who preceded her in death on February 14, 2010.
Surviving is three daughters, Diana Maxwell and husband Kevin, Katy LIck, Connie Wallace and husband George, Indianapolis, IN, Denise Batdorf and husband David, Conover, NC, two sons, David Davidson and wife Carol, Salem, James Glenn Wilson, PA, grandchildren, Lisa Brittain and husband David, Laura, Kenny, and Kyle Batdorf, all of NC, Jamie Wilson, PA, Elijah Jones, Pittsburgh, PA, Caleb Jones, Fairmont, Emily and Autumn Jones, Clarksburg, great grandchildren, Lucas Brittain, NC and Serena Jones, WV, two brothers, James. I. Pratt and wife Mary, Wolf Summit, Ray L. Pratt and wife Marion, Clarksville, TN, and her first husband, George C. Wilson and wife Joanna, Statesville, NC. as well as several nieces and nephews. One brother, Carl E. Pratt and one sister, Nelda Pratt Scott preceded her in death.
Mrs. Davidson enjoyed farming, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of Hurst Chapel United Methodist where she played piano for many years and then had attended Salem United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Wednesday, April 22. 2015 at 11:00AM with Pastor Kevin Bender officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem I.O.O.F. Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 4-8PM and after 9AM on Wednesday until time of service.
