Martin Kimble Obituary

Martin Robert (Bob) Kimble, 71, Mason House, Clarksburg, went to be with the Lord and his wife on June 15, 2008. Mr. Kimble was born June 23, 1937 in Jacksonburg a son of the late Erie Tink and Nellie Miller Kimble. On August 31, 1957 he was united in marriage to Virginia Mae Elliott Kimble who preceded him in death on March 30, 2003.

He leaves behind a son, David L. Kimble and life companion, Anna Vanscoy of Mt. Clare, four daughters, Kathy K. George and husband James, Salem, Marilyn Starkey and husband Rex, Marshville, Susie Lloyd and husband Eugene, Lost Creek, Michelle Peters and husband Gary, Clarksburg, 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, two brothers, David L. Kimball and wife Shelia, Waldo Run, Ora Bud Kimble, Salem and several nieces and nephews.

Martin was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Shirley Jean Collins, Judy Barrow, Joyce Fulcher, one brother, Jerry L. Kimble.

Martin was a member of the Life Pointe Church, Clarksburg. His hobbies included Thursday Night Prayer Meetings at the Mason House, listening to sermons on tapes and spending time with his best friend Becky Deison.

Friends may call on Thursday June 19, 2008 in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem from 11AM to 1PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 19, 2008 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Aaron Morgan and Reverend Lillian Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Center Point. Harbert Funeral Home is privilege to serve the Kimble family.
