Mary Virginia Golden

Mary Virginia Golden,84 of Bristol passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at her son’s residence with family by her side. She was born February 25, 1936 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Harvey Ray Forinash Sr. and Kathleen Kearns Forinash. Mary graduated from W.I. High School. She was a cook at Greenbrier Grade School.  She enjoyed puzzles, writing, watching and feeding the birds and deer.  She was a member of the Son Shine Fellowship. She loved spending time with the family. Mary is survived by four sons, John Golden and Joann, Salem, Mark Golden and Sue, Bridgeport, Jeffrey Golden, Bristol, Paul Golden, Bristol; two daughters, Paula Powell and Jay, West Union and Mary Kathleen Phillips and Timothy, West Union; ten grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Golden on November 19, 1994; five brothers, Edward Holt Forinash, Wilson Lee Forinash, Harvey Ray Forinash Jr, Charles M. Forinash and Jack Eugene Forinash; one sister, Shirley Ann Gillespie; Paul’s companion, Mary Sutton. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Joann Golden, Karrie Hamrick, Karen Short, Debbie Underwood, and April Summers for the love and care. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W Main Street, Salem, WV, on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 2PM- 8PM. Funeral service will be on Friday, Nov 13, 2020 at 10:00AM with Pastor Nelson McClain officiating with proper distancing and face mask required. Interment will be at WV National Cemetery.
