Mary Elizabeth Whiteman

Mary Elizabeth Whiteman, 71, formerly of Salem, departed this life on January 20, 2013 in Woodridge Assisted Living, Vienna.

She was born on November 15, 1941 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Howard C. and Blanche Davis Whiteman.

Surviving is one sister, Dianna Hayes and husband, Kenneth D., Salem, one brother, Delmas Whiteman and wife, Betty, Bridgeport, nieces, Loria Hayes Lett and husband, Andy, and their sons, Drew and Tanner, West Union, Kimberly Hayes Miller and husband, David and daughter Miranda, Salem, nephews, Kenneth H. Hayes and fianc Becky, Salem, Steven Hayes, companion, Lisa and Stevens daughter, Ashton, VA.

Miss Whiteman was a 1959 graduate of Doddridge County High School. She had worked for Leesons Restaurant as a cook and was a member of Vienna Baptist Church, Vienna.



Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 1:00PM with Pastor Bill Brown presiding. Interment will follow in K of P Memorial Park, Salem. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 11AM until time of service.
