Melville Eugene Carr, Jr.

Melville Eugene Carr, Jr., 65 of Salem passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at his residence with family by his side.  He was born December 12, 1956 in Lincoln, NE, son of the late Melville Eugene Carr Sr and Etta Mae Summers Carr.  Melville graduated from Copley High School in Copley, OH. He served his country in the United States Air Force for over fifteen years.  Melville retired as a prison guard in Texas. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, painting, playing poker and singing karaoke. He is survived by four siblings, Etta Clark and husband Danny, Salem, Albert "Kenny" Carr, Lakeland, FL, Margaret Hein and husband Robert "Bob", Shelby, OH, Patricia Stuper, Barberton, OH; stepmother, Carolyn Carr, of  KY; step-brothers, Steve Erden and wife Tana, OH; and David Erden, KY; step-children, Juan Martinez, Antonia Marshall, Lee Tenorio, Jose Tenorio, Erika Smith; step grandchildren, Blake Marshall, Katlyn Marshall
Naomi Smith, Gabryl Martinez, Antonio Martinez, Sophia Martinez, Samuel Martinez, Thomas Martinez, Juan Martinez Jr.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, Melville was preceded in death by his wife, Enriqueta Capuchino Carr in 2020.
