Michael David Chambers, 62, of Salem passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 in Bridgeport. He was born on January 20, 1964 in Cleveland, OH a son of the late Marcel Hudak.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan Mires Chambers, whom he married on October 5, 1987.
He is also survived by two children, Michael Travis Chambers and Sara Kathleen Rush and husband Troy; one granddaughter, Cambria Raine Chambers; siblings, John Chambers, Matt Chambers, Rob Chambers, Mary Ann Dodd and Bonnie Chambers.
Michael was a huge NASCAR fan and especially loved following Dale Earnhardt. He rarely missed a race and enjoyed sharing his passion for racing with those around him.
Michael would help anyone in need and was known for his kind and generous heart. He was a loyal friend and a devoted father who cared deeply for his family. He will be remembered for his willingness to lend a hand, his friendship, and the love he had for those closest to him.
