Milton Wayne Edgeworth, 78, of West Union, WV passed away on April 7, 2026. Milt was born in Fort Dix, NJ to Robert H. Edgeworth and Mary G. Edgeworth, both deceased, on July 29, 1947. He married his devoted wife, Laura Jane (nee Sidam) on May 29, 1971.
He served 24 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1991. After his service to the country, he spent 10 years as an insurance salesman. Milt loved hunting, fishing, and camping which is why he retired to West Virginia in 2000. He loved to tell stories, especially those about his Navy experiences. He enjoyed his tropical fish, horses, cattle, and escape artist goats. Old westerns and war movies were his favorite pastimes as his health failed.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie; his daughter, Sheila Marie Porter and her husband Dale of Lebanon, TN, and son, Wayne Thomas and his wife Vanessa of West Union, WV; as well as grandchildren, Adam Porter of Severn, Maryland, Kathryn Porter (Aleysha Myers) of Munich, Germany, Sarah Porter Jackson (Tyson) of Florissant, MO and Ty Edgeworth (Lauren) of San Antonio, Texas; great-grandchild, Xander Porter of St. Cloud, FL.
