Myrtle Bing Swiger, 91, of Route 23, Salem departed this life on Saturday, March 5, 2011. She was born in Clarksburg on December 9, 1919 a daughter of the late Calvin and Lily Blanche Huggins Cross.
Surviving are three daughters, Nancy May Swiger, Akron, OH, Charlotte Rigney, Center Point, Terry Harris, and husband Leonard, Center Point, 27 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Two daughters, June Virginia Carroll, Emma Jo Donald, one son, Dennis Lloyd Carroll, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.
Mrs. Swiger attended the Center Point Christian Church. She enjoyed painting. Myrtle was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held in the Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St., Salem on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bill Reid presiding. Interment will follow in the Center Point Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 11AM Wednesday until time of service.
