Onie Mary Lunsford

Onie" Mary" Lunsford, 90 of Rock Run Rd. West Union departed this life on Friday, May 13, 2016 in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. She was born on January 25, 1926 at Alum Bridge to the late Archie H. and Ocie Starcher Lattea. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Brooks Lunsford Sr. on July 24, 1998.

Surviving are four daughters, Frances K. Reaser and Companion Gary Bickler, West Union, Patricia Ann Jenkins and husband Larry, Salem, Karen Sue Golomb and husband Jim, Canal Winchester, OH, Vivian Lunsford and companion Brad Carroll, Nutter Fort, one son, Arthur B. Lunsford Jr. and wife Linda, Salem, 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren, two brothers, Archie E. Lattea and Robert Lattea, Weston and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, four brothers, Paul, John, Joseph and Leon Lattea and one sister, Pauline Shackleford.

Mrs. Lunsford retired from the Doddridge County Board of Education as a cook at Big Isaac Grade School. Mary was a member of Big Isaac United Methodist Church and the Big Isaac CEO's, Doddridge County Senior Citizens and a life member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Monday, May16, 2016 at 11:00AM with Pastor Danny Fleming officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Linn, WV. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 2-8PM.
