Paul Peter Keppeler, 73, of Salem, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024. He was born on April 30, 1951 in Wuppertal, Germany, a son of the late Bernhardt and Ruth Hellwig Keppeler.
Paul graduated and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Germany. He also served in the German Armed Forces as a Paratrooper. He worked as a Project Site Manager his entire career and retired from Tetra Tech with over twenty years of service. He was a world traveler. He enjoyed hiking, being outdoors, watching soccer, collecting antiques, was a history buff and avid reader.
Paul is survived by his two daughters, Annette Keppeler and husband Frank Galvin, Anja Keppeler all of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren, Fiona, Ida, and Felix; three siblings, George Keppeler, Bernhardt Keppeler, and Beatrix Bierenfeld, all of Germany; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by one sister, Angela Gunter.
