Phillip Steven Moore

Phillip Moore, 46, of Salem, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

Born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Phillip was the beloved son of Russell “Rusty” and Cathy Moore of Salem.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Trevor Moore and companion Ally Mitter; grandson, Lincoln McNemar; three sisters, Nicky Moore Elliott and her husband Shannon of Lost Creek, Shawna Moore and husband Brian Mowery of Winchester, VA, and Danette Moore Fulton and her companion, Greg Stout of Salem; his faithful furry companion Milo, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will cherish his memory.

Phillip was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Howard; maternal grandparents, Mike and Betty Muhlheim Flanagan; paternal grandparents, Russell Moore and Shirley Jean Moore Perkins and husband Hillis Perkins; step grandmother Helen Perkins; great grandparents, three uncles; Danny Flanagan, Michael Flanagan, Jim Flanagan; and cousin, Joe Flanagan.

Phillip graduated from Liberty High School Class of 1998. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as spending time at the family camp. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the many memories he shared with those who knew him. His kind spirit and presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
