Rhea Faye (Mayle) Cork

Rhea Faye Cork, 84, of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born on July 24, 1941 in West Union, WV, a daughter of the late Rev Leonard Warren and Betty June Pratt Mayle.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Denver Jack Cork, who passed away on October 30, 2014.

She is survived by two children, Jack Junior Cork, Salem, Christina Lee Kenney (Terry) Salem; three grandchildren, Sheena Nicole Kenney, David Lee Cork, Billy Jack Cork; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Crystal Shahan; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one grandson, Cody Allen Kenney; one great grandchild; two siblings, Willis Leonard Mayle and Joy Gay Mayle.

Rhea had worked as a CNA at Heartland in Clarksburg and the Salem Nursing Home in Salem. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo and collecting dolls.

Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home, Salem on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 3-7 pm and on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 9:00 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 am with Reverend Roger Fontaine officiating.  Interment will follow at K of P Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent to www.DavisFuneralHomeSalemWV.com.  Davis Funeral Home is honored to assist the Cork family.
