Richard N. Chipps 48 of Lavender Lane Salem departed this life on Friday, September 5, 2014 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. He was born at Peoria, IL on October 17, 1965 a son of the late Roscoe Bernard and Gay Marie Fox Chipps.
Surviving is one daughter, Brittany McAtee and companion Brian, Salem, four sons, Justin Bonnell, Salem, Gage McAtee, Salem, Bradley Bonnell, Carbondale, PA, Christopher Bonnell, Pennsboro, grandchildren, Abby, Nelson,& Lillian Bonnell, Autumn Rayne McAtee and Daniel Neil Leaseburge, two sisters, Bernadine Rhodes and husband Larry, Wapakoneta, OH, Teresa Chipps, Clarksburg, two brothers, Perry Chipps and wife Tammy, West Union and Craig Chipps, Clarksburg. Two brothers, Bradley and Kevin Chipps preceded him in death.
Mr. Chipps was a former employee of Appollon Painting Company as a Bridge Painter with 25 years' service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and all outdoors activities. Richard had attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 5:00PM. There will be a time of gathering one hour prior to service.
