Richard Dawayne Davis

Richard Dawayne Davis, 64 of Salem passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at his residence. He was born April 13, 1958 in Clarksburg, son of the late Richard Lee Davis Jr and Garnet Lee Law Davis. Richard collected knives, liked listening to country music, wearing a cowboy hat, and spending time with his four-legged companion, Tanner. He was a member of the Enon Baptist Church. Richard is survived by his wife, Donna Irene Zinn Davis whom he married on June 14, 2001; one sister, Janice Henrey and Donald Layfield, Sardis; two brothers, John Davis and Cynthia, Duncanville, TX, James Davis and Tina Ash, Salem;  two brothers-in-law, Davy “Butch” Lee Wetzel Jr and Randall Wetzel, Salem; several nieces and nephews, Amy and Gary Cross, Good Hope, Christy and Antonie Lucas, Clarksburg, Randall Wetzel and Travis Dawson, Morgantown, Jana Wetzel, Davy Wetzel, Chanté Shaffer, Micha Foster, Crystal Davis, Samantha Davis, and Megan Davis. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sisters, Vickie Lynn Wetzel and Sandra Kay Wetzel, nephew Nickolas Bowen. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W Main Street, Salem, WV, on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 2PM until time of funeral service at 6:00PM with Pastor Bill Davis officiating.
