Roger Lee Davis, 87 of Broken Arrow OK, passed away on Sunday, December 28 2025, in Tulsa, OK with family by his side. He was born on September 26, 1938 in Salem, WV, a son of the late Henry Gaines Davis and Esther Mae Brown Davis.
He is survived by his loving, dedicated wife of 52 years, Rita J. Williams Davis, whom he married on September 1, 1973.
He is also survived by one beloved daughter, Erica Susanne Davis and husband, John Donoghue of St. Louis, MO; two dear grandchildren; William Eric Donoghue and Maggie Rose Donoghue. Cousin, Ken Davis (Marie); numerous beloved nieces and nephews including Steve Davis (Evaline), Eric Davis (Fray), Traci Currey (Don), Kathy Frank (Tom), Judy O’Donnel (Gary), Janet Hilton, Cheryl Skeen (Van Morris), Debbie Jones (Charley) and Sandy Thomas (Larry).
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Donald Davis, and sisters, Jean McQuaid and Shirley Ash, nephews Mark Davis and Randall McQuaid and niece, Karen Ireland.
As a young man, Roger served in the United States Army with the 165th Military Police Company in Germany and then in the West Virginia National Guard.
Roger was employed by Sohio which eventually became BP Pipeline Co. before he experienced a catastrophic heart attack that ended his 32-year pipeline career in 2002. He worked alongside many collogues in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Oklahoma.
He had a kind heart and was always ready to help a neighbor. He was a United Methodist by faith and served as a church leader and volunteer. He dearly loved his immediate and extended family.
Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home- Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 3-7 pm and on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 9:00AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00AM. Great-nephew, Ben Thomas will officiate the funeral service and the burial at K of P Cemetery with the assistance of nephew, Eric Davis. Military honors will be accorded by the United States Army and the Harrison County Honor Guard.
