Roger Leonard Obituary

Roger Leeman Leonard, 64, of Center Point (Talkington Fork) passed away on Monday, August 17, 2009 in the United Hospital Center.

He was born on July 12, 1945 in Harrison County a son of the late Junior Flavious and Clarice Law Leonard. He is survived by his wife Pauline Cumberledge Leonard, Salem.

Also surviving are three sons, Olan Eugene Leonard and wife Brenda, Worthington, Michael Leeman Leonard and wife Deana, Quiet Dell, Traci Paul Leonard and wife Lorie, Center Point, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, one adopted daughter, April Dawn Bailey, Clarksburg, one sister, Zanie Jenkins, Jarvisville, three brothers, Donald Leonard, Terry Leonard, both of Clarksburg, Jack Leonard, Jarvisville, several nieces and nephews. One sister Linda Leonard preceded him in death.

Mr. Leonard was a former employee of Hart Foundry, where he was a caster for 15 years. He served in the Army National Guard for six years. He enjoyed farming, horseback riding, four wheeling, and spending time with his family. Mr. Leonard was Apostolic.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.


Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 2:00PM in the Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St., Salem with Pastor Robert Gowen officiating. Interment will follow in the Christian Church Cemetery, Center Point. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 4-8PM and after 9AM on Friday until service in the funeral home chapel.
