Ronnie L. Wilt, 48, of Route 1, Salem departed this life on Monday, May 2, 2011. He was born in Weston on April 27, 1963 a son of Carrie James Wilt, West Union and the late Claude Wilt. On June 18, 1983 he married June M. Childers Wilt who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Rachel Wilt, Salem, two sisters, Deborah Morris, Nutter Fort, Cathy Trent, Salem, two brothers, Steve Wilt, Salem, Mike Wilt, Ripley, mother-in-law, Rachel Childers and several nieces and nephews.
Ronnie was employed by Glaspell Lumber as a dozer operator with 16 years service. He enjoyed fishing and outdoor activities. The family wants to convey their appreciation to the Woods Crew and The Doddridge County Ambulance Authority for their heroic efforts to save Ronnies life. Ronnie was a loving husband and father and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
At Ronnies request he was cremated. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 3:00PM in the Salem United Methodist Church, 260 E. Main St., Salem with Reverend Kevin Bender presiding. A time of gathering will be from 1:00PM until time of service.
