Rosalie (Underwood) Clark

Rosalie Clark, 87, of Salem, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital in Richmond, Va. She was born on November 7, 1937 in Salem, Doddridge County, daughter of the late James Edward and Reain Bertha Davis Underwood.

Rosalie is survived by her daughter, Janet Tinsley (Ed), Bumpass, Va.; four sons, James Clark, Rodney Clark, Robert Clark, and Bruce Clark (Missy), all of Salem; ten grandchildren, Rodney Jr., David, Emma, Jennifer, Jimmy Jr., Brian, Matthew, Elizabeth, Andrew and Sarah; fifteen great grandchildren, Sophia, Benjamin, Liam, Cory, Damian, Alyssa, Laelynn, Sadie, Callie, Madi Jo, Micah, Wyatt, Cheyenne, Nathan, and Kayleigh.

In addition to her parents, Rosalie is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Marion Clark, on May 21, 2010; one son, Richard Allen Clark; one brother, Louie Underwood; one sister, Annalee Polan.

Rosalie graduated from Doddridge County High School, class of 1955. She was a homemaker, always taking care of her family, as it grew. She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church. Rosalie spent her free time reading Amish books, doing puzzles and watching WVU games. She enjoyed being outside on her swing, watching the birds and having the occasional cat nap. She had the biggest heart, and loved everyone around her, especially her family and friends. Her most favorite pastime was spoiling all of her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, but the hearts she has touched will shine bright forever.

Family will receive friends at Davis-Salem Funeral Home, 1999 West Main Street, Salem for visitation on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 3-7PM and Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, with Rev.
