Ruby Frame Obituary

Frame, Ruby Pauleen Collins went to be with God on April 28, 2013, with her family at her side. She died peacefully in her sleep. She was 91 years of age.


Ruby Pauleen (Collins) Frame was born October 1, 1921, In Salem WV, the daughter of John Franklin and Hattie Blanch (Gains) Collins. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard B. Frame, her beloved son Richard Lee Frame, and one grandson, Jeffrey Lee Swann.

Mrs. Ruby Frame spent most of her life in Salem, WV, except for a few years she lived in Baltimore, MD. She married her late husband Richard B. Frame May 14, 1941. They were married 59 years until his death Jan. 14, 2000.
She was a loving Mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law and friend.
She is survived by her daughter, Deloris Ann Frame-Swann of Evans, WV, her former son-in-law Walter J. Swann of Ripley, WV, grandson Dr. Craig Stephen Swann, his wife Patricia Narin-Swann and their son Benjamin Jacob Swann, of Ripley, WV, granddaughter Lisa Dawn Swann-Masemer, her husband Phillip Brian Masemer, and Lisas daughter Serena Jacqueline Ann Swann of Shepherdstown, WV, granddaughter Beth Ann Swann and her daughter Joselynn Elizabeth Swann of Ripley, WV, granddaughter Jilanna Lynn Swann and her daughter Katherine Amanda McGreevey, of Ripley, WV, granddaughter Kristal Ann Swann of Wilmington, NC, and granddaughter Carol Ann Swann-Criswell of Martinsburg, WV, and her daughters Jessica Dawn Turnbull of Port Republic VA, and Ella Marie Criswell and of Martinsburg, WV, daughter Suzann Lee Swann-Welch and her husband Steve Andrew Welch and children Andrew Cole and Hillary Suzann of Simpsonville, SC.

Ruby Frame is also survived by her sons family. The mother of his two children, Betty Lou Bennett-Frame of Heath, OH, and their two children; Stacie Lee Frame-Davisson and her husband Scott Duane and their children Savannah Faye and Olivia Rochelle of Heath, OH, and son Jason David Frame, his wife Anita Dawn Frame-Booher and his children, Keiralee Dawn Frame and Bailey Danielle Frame of Dunbar, WV, one step-son Bryan E. Leatherman and his wife Mikki Knight-Leatherman and their daughter Sydney Rae, of Mt.Clair, WV.


The most important people who have known Ruby longer than anyone on earth are sisters-in-law Reva Irene Frame-Fluharty, West Milford, WV, Marjorie Ann Frame-Richie, Clarksburg, WV, brothers-in-law Marion Murray, Hilton Head, NC, and Dana Frame and wife Lillian, Davidsonville, MD. She is also survived by sister-in-law Lois Frame of Annapolis, MD.
She was preceded in death by brothersin-law Thomas J. Fluharty, West Milford, WV, Vernon Glenn Frame, Codorus, PA, Noel Richie, Clarksburg, WV, and sisters-in-law Virginia B. Frame-Murray, Hilton Head, NC, and Florence Cashmere-Frame of Landsville, PA.

She was the grandmother of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ruby Frame was a member of the Assembly of God, Clarksburg, WV. She enjoyed sewing, quilt making, crocheting, and working in her vegetable and flower gardens.
Mrs. Ruby Frame was also preceded in death by her dear friends Betty Eileen Muhlheim-Flannigan, her next door neighbor for fifty years, of Patterson Road, Salem, WV, Faith P. Staats-Anderson, of Ripley, WV, and survived by her friends Vivian B. Jones of Spencer, WV, and George S. Hartline of Evans, WV.
The Family would like to thank those who cared for and were so kind to Ruby Frame at the Eldercare Health and Rehabilitation in Ripley, WV, and Dr. John Snyder for the excellent medical care he has provided for the last few years.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Harbert Funeral Home Salem, WV with Reverend Kenny Asbury officiating. Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery at Salem. The family will receive friends at noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
