Ruth M. (Boyce) Bland Hayes

Ruth M. Boyce Bland Hayes, 88 of Jarvisville Road went to join her daughters in heaven on Thursday, March 9, 2023 in Cairo, WV. Ruth was born August 15, 1934 in Bristol, WV, daughter of the late W.F Sime Boyce and Nellie E Childers Boyce. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Carl J Hayes, a sister Frances Cottrill; two daughters, Ruth Jone (Janey) Bland and Belinda Sue (Skeet) Bland Westfall Shull; ex-husband, William L Bland, father of her two daughters, last but not least Lloyd B Davis her companion of five years.  She is survived by her granddaughter, Leslie Davis and husband Jason, great grandson, Maddox Davis the pride and joy of her life, William O Westfall, Leslie’s dad, all of Salem, son-in-law, Lonny J Shull of Pahoa, HI. Ruth worked twelve years at Brockway, Anchor Hocking Glass and part-time at Salem VFW. She was a member of the Grafton VFW Auxiliary 3081. She attended Big Isaac United Methodist Church for many years. Ruth enjoyed going out to eat on Sundays with her church family. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 3-7pm and on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 9AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM with Rev Patty Hebb officiating.
