Sandra “Sandy” Kay Danes, 77, of Belle Vernon, PA formerly of Bridgeport, WV passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at her residence. Sandy was born August 9, 1944 in Salem, WV; daughter of the late Ray Kenneth and Irene Hayes Underwood. Sandy worked as a waitress for several years. She loved her spending time with her family and her cat. She also loved Elvis and her God. She enjoyed listening to gospel music. Sandy is survived by four children, Christopher Chipps and Brenda, Monessen, PA, Tammy Mitchell and Jack, Charleroi, PA, Kenneth Chipps, Monongahela, PA, Ernie Chipps, Donora, PA; seven grandchildren, Christopher Chipps, Cassandra Chipps, Jesse Chipps, Destiny Karlowsky, Jordan Chipps, Kailey Chipps, and Kamron Chipps; three great grandchildren, Tucker, Chloe, and Zelda; one sister, Delores Hawkins and Ed, Gassaway; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death one sister, Helen Nicholson, one brother Billy in infancy. A Private Graveside Service will be held at K of P Cemetery.
