Sandra "Sandy" E. (Sandy) Glaspell

Sandra “Sandy” E. Glaspell, 70, of Salem passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at United Hospital Center with family by her side. Sandra was born April 8, 1951 in Clarksburg, WV, daughter of the late Wilford and Helen Miller Sandy.  Sandra graduated from Bristol High School, Class of 1970. She worked as a CNA for Clarksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation and took great joy in helping others. She was a member of the Shinnston Baptist Church.  She enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with her family. Parkinsons may have affected her life but it didn’t take away her wit and sense of humor. Anyone that knew her knew how she was one of a kind. She will be greatly missed. Sandra is survived by her daughter, Heather Cochran and fiancé, Aaron Bell, Lake Floyd; one granddaughter, Shallyn Burkhammer and husband, Zackory, Bridgeport; one grandson, Ayden Cochran, Lake Floyd; one stepgranddaughter, Kaya Bell, Nutter Fort; great grandson, Mason Burkhammer; special friend, Don Miles; one sister, Judy Davis and husband Keith, Flinderation; one brother, Richard Sandy and wife Cookie, Houston, TX; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Glaspell in 1992. The family would like to thank Bridgeport Healthcare Care Center for her time there and a special thanks to her granddaughter, Shallyn for taking such good care of her. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 2-7PM. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kevin Nuzum officiating.  Interment will follow at Salem I.O.O.F.
