Sharon Lynn (Cork) Hutson

Sharon Lynn (Cork) Hutson, 59 of Salem passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at her home surrounded by the ones that loved her most. Sharon was born on February 4, 1963 in Harrison County, daughter of the late Denzil and Wilma (Smith) Cork.

Sharon would want to be remembered for her passion for caretaking. She worked many years as a certified nursing assistant at local nursing homes. She cared for many family members in their times of need as well. She dedicated her life to helping others. She loved her grandchildren above all else. She was very actively involved in everything they did. She loved watching their dirt bike races, various ball games and endless shopping sprees were among her favorite. She was best known for speaking her mind, being strong willed, being the life of the party, and never letting anyone leave her home hungry. Her beautiful laugh was contagious to us all.

She is survived by her dedicated husband of 31 years, Jeffrey Dale Hutson. They were married on June 1,1991 at Cascara Church in Salem WV. They had a son, Jonathan Hutson and her daughter in love Jordanna Hutson and their three sons John Jr. (Bubba), Luke and Gabe Hutson. She also had a daughter, Amanda Lasure. Sharon and Jeff also had two other grandchildren that they raised as their own, Regan and Preston (Pete). She is survived by her siblings Ellsworth & Patty Cork, Francis & Kathy Cork, Clifford Cork, Cynthia & Bill Doll, Bead & Grover Ashcraft and Bonnie Cavins.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Denzil Cork Jr., Middie Cork, Burt Cork, Kenny Cork, and Becky Truax.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 3-7pm and on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Vermont Baptist Church, Skelton Run Road, Salem from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 am with Pastor Chad Ash officiating.   Interment will follow at Cork Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her care fund on her memorial page.
