Shelby Lee Chipps

Shelby Lee Chipps, 29 of Salem passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023.  

Shelby was born February 7, 1994 in Clarksburg, daughter of David Lee Chipps Jr and wife Tonya Sue Chipps and Regina Marie Burt McConnell and husband Gregory Ross McConnell, all of Salem.  

Shelby loved the outdoors and nature.     

In addition to her parents and their spouses, Shelby is survived by two children, Gabriella Faith McConnell and Decklyn Wesley McConnell; siblings, Mikki Jo Britton and husband Matt, West Union, Zachary Ryan Husk, Shawney Marie Husk, David Lee Chipps III,  Jessica Terry Carmichael, Justin William Carmichael all of Salem, Joshua Bryan and wife Ashley, Wheeling, Dustyn Krieg McConnell and fiancée Lorenda Russell, Fairmont; maternal grandmother, JoAnna Smith Burt, Salem; paternal grandparents, David L Chipps Sr and Alvina Diane Ray Chipps; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Shelby is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Donovan “Don” Burt.
