Shirley Eugene Davis

Shirley Eugene Davis, 71, of Route 4, Grass Run Community, Salem departed this life on Tuesday, July 19, 2011. He was born March 1, 1940 in Bristol a son of Sherley E. and Margaret Frances Law Davis. His wife Betty Jo Allen Davis preceded him in death in 2005.

Mr. Davis is survived by one daughter, Shirlene Jo Parker and husband George, Salem, one son, Delbert Davis and wife, Lola, Salem, five grandchildren, Desirae Skidmore and Danny, Salem, Jondra K. Baker and William, Salem, Kathlene L. Stout and John, Salem, Maria Davis and Delbert Davis, Jr. Salem and 8 great grandchildren.

He was a United States Air Force and Army Reserves veteran. He had worked for GM Motors Corporation for 16 years and also as a glass worker. He was a member of the Grass Run United Methodist Church.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 6PM in the Evergreen Church on Big Flint with Thurman Cox presiding.
