Sondra "Sandy" Elaine (Taylor) Postlethwait

Sondra “Sandy” Elaine (Taylor) Postlethwait, 78, of Big Battle Community, Doddridge County passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at River Oaks Healthcare Center. Sandy was born September 22, 1945 in Salem, WV Doddridge County, daughter of the late Bedford Russell Taylor and Vivian Claire Kellar Taylor Davis.

Sandy graduated from Doddridge County High School, Class of 1963 and WV Business College. She worked as a legal secretary at Salem College, Standard Oil and retired from West Union Bank in Salem. She also sold Mary Kay for several years. She was a member of Welcome Baptist Church where she was also the church clerk. She enjoyed bowling and cars with zip.     

Sandy is survived by one daughter, Kelly Sue Skinner, Morgantown; grandchildren, Brooklyn Barnes and Mya Barnes; great grandson, Tatum; siblings, Randy Taylor (Jeanie) Big Battle, Dwight Davis (Gloria) Clarksburg, Bruce Davis (Bonnie) Big Battle, Rusty Taylor (Holly) Green Bank, WV; brother-in-law, Lou Ansline, Grafton; stepmother, Gertrude Taylor, Green Bank, WV, step-sister, Shirley Carpenter, Green Bank, WV; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by one son, Charles Dwight Postlethwait, sister, Luana “Sue” Ansline; and step-father, Royal Brooks Davis.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 11:00AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bob Marino officiating.  Interment will follow at Center Point Cemetery.
