It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Teresa Elaine Kipp, beloved wife, mother, mammy, sister, and friend, who passed away on January 29 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Teresa was born on July 16, 1965 to Bertha Ann Haddix Lake of Salem and the late Russell David Lake. She grew up surrounded by the love of her family and later built her own, sharing a special bond with each of them. Teresa was a devoted wife to Greg S. Kipp and a proud mother to her only son, David Kipp and daughter-in-law, Carrie Kipp. She was a cherished mammy to four grandchildren, Addison, Dawson, Maddox and Silas, whose laughter and joy filled her heart.
She was also a loving sister to Jack (Charlotte) Lake, Wilma Greene, Joann Cochran, Christine (Jerry) Maxwell, Jason (Melissa) Lake, Edwin (Susie) Lake and Irene Lake. She enjoyed a close-knit relationship with her many nieces and nephews. Teresa's heart was as big as her family, and her kindness and love reached far and wide.
Known for her compassionate nature, Teresa dedicated much of her life to rescuing and caring for animals, especially dogs. She also had a deep love for cooking, often sharing her delicious meals with family and friends. Her time in the kitchen was a reflection of her nurturing spirit, and her meals will be fondly remembered by those who had the privilege of enjoying them.
Her love for her family, including her cherished grandchildren and son, was unparalleled. Teresa was also passionate about the outdoors-whether it was camping trips or scenic drives to the mountains, she found peace in nature and cherished the time spent with her loved ones in these beautiful places.
Teresa's family will always remember her vibrant spirit, her unwavering love, and her dedication to making the world a better place for both her family and the animals she cared so deeply for.
