Thomas Edward Dean

Thomas Edward Dean, 64, of Center Point, WV passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 in Bridgeport.  He was born on November 21, 1961 in Charleston, a son of the late Edward Dean and Louise Dean.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Tammy Helmick Dean.

He is also survived by five children, Jessica Helmick, Chris Helmick, Shannon Dean, Laura Dean and Ryan Lewis; ten grandchildren and siblings, Terry Dean, Becky Bailey, Vanessa Ownsley, David Dean, Sonny Dean and Ricky Dean; and his father-in-law, David Helmick.

Thomas worked as a diesel mechanic for many years, a job that suited his love for working outdoors and with his hands. He truly enjoyed the outdoors and felt most at peace when he was outside. Thomas was easygoing, carefree, and always happy, with a kind heart that showed in how he treated others. He was the kind of person who would help anyone in need, never hesitating to do a favor or lend a hand.
