Timothy "Tim" Wall Obituary

Timothy “Tim” Wayne Wall, 69, of Bristol, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at his home with his wife by his side.  He was born on December 6, 1955 in Danville, VA a son of the late Darnold Obrian Wall and Margaret Louise Kluttz Wall.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marilyn Fortson Wall; three children, Lindsay Grove and husband Robert “Rob”, Matthew Fortson and wife Amanda and Brian Wall; eleven grandchildren, Jamin, Liam, Taylin, and Cadia Grove, Hannah, Brayden, Leah, and Sarah Fortson, Athena, Mason and Jasper Wall; and one sister, Linda Freeman of Alabama; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Timothy is preceded in death by one son, Eric Wayne Wall; one brother-in-law, Mike Freeman.

Tim was a graduate of Baker Academy High School and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam War.  Tim was a dedicated mechanic and hardworking soul, he spent much of his career working with esteemed companies such as Lockheed Martin and General Electric. His work was far-reaching and impactful often contributing to the development and maintenance of spacecraft, U.S. Air Force airplanes, and GPS satellites. His deep knowledge of machinery and engineering made him a respected professional in his field.  Outside of work, Tim found joy in the simpler things. He loved life on his farm, tending to his chickens and making sure the firewood pile was always full and keeping the stove going and the house warm. He took pride in living close to the land and was always ready to lend a helping hand.  Those who knew Tim will remember his good heart, his friendly nature, and his strong will. He was determined, genuine, and never one to back down from a challenge.  He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated.  Online condolences may be sent to www.DavisFuneralHomesalemWV.com.  Davis Funeral Home is honored to assist the Wall family.
