Troy Edward Simmons

Troy Edward Simmons 47, of Bristol, WV passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at United Hospital Center. He was born on November 23, 1973 in Clarksburg, the son of the late George Edward Simmons and Ronnica Lee Hall Simmons

Troy graduated from Liberty High School, Class of 1992. He was currently working at Hall Drilling as a truck driver and has drove truck for over twenty-five years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting guns, getting tattoos, and riding 4wheelers. He loved his family and 4-legged companions, Jr, Precious and Dora. He also enjoyed raising chickens, hundreds of them.

Troy is survived by his wife Jennifer Lynn Bland Simmons whom he married on January 1, 1994; four children, William “Matthew” Simmons and Ashley, Daniel Edward Simmons, Jeffrey Michael Simmons and Danielle Marie Simmons, all of Bristol; two grandchildren, Anna Cherree Simmons and Elijah Matthew Simmons; one sister, Christine Lynn Bonner and Rodney, Sheffield Lake, OH; mother-in-law, Bertha “Virginia” Davis Bland; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Troy was preceded in death by his father-in-law, William Leslie Bland.
