Vesta Chloe Myers, 93, of Wallace went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at her residence.
She was born July 10, 1916 in Center Point, WV a daughter of the late Simon and Columbia Arminta Trader Cumberledge. Her husband, Wayne Myers preceded her in death.
She is survived by 2 sons, Clifford Currey, Wallace, Bernard Currey and wife Janet, Williamstown, NJ, 2 daughtersinlaw, Louise Currey, TN and Peggy Currey, Vero Beach, FL, 7 grandchildren, Becky Durdak, FL, Melissa Currey, FL, David Currey, FL, Brenda Miller, NJ, Melanie McCullough, NJ, Bernice Dotson, TN, Michelle Currey- Phillips, NJ, 9 great grandchildren, Matthew, Eric, Kristie, Kyle, Karly, Kennedy, David, Meghan, Sarah and 2 great great grandchildren, Mia and Colin.
She was preceded in death by one son, Earl Currey and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Myers was a homemaker and had been a bindery worker. She was a member of the Center Point Christian Church for many many years.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 11AM in the Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St., Salem with Reverend Don Flanigan officiating. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Center Point Christian Church Cemetery.
