Violet Reynolds Obituary

Reverend Violet Lee Reynolds, 65 of Gawthrop Lane, Sun Valley Community departed this life on Friday, March 29, 2013 in the Meadowview Manor, Bridgeport. She was born on October 25, 1947 in Parkersburg a daughter of the late Carl Lee and Beulah Violena Pickens Reynolds.

Surviving is friends, Debbie Jamison and husband Tim, Salem, Kathryn Barker, Bridgeport.

Reverend Reynolds was a 1965 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She became an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church on June 15, 1997 and was ordained a Deacon in the United Methodist Church on June 14, 1992. Reverend Reynolds received her Master of Divinity Degree from the McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago, IL. Diploma in Interior Design from the Art Institute, Pittsburgh, Associate Art Degree, Parkersburg Community College, Bachelor of Arts Degree, Marietta OH.

Reverend Reynolds had served, Weekley Memorial United Methodist Church, Charleston, Epworth United Methodist Church, Parkersburg, St. Johns United Methodist and Warren United Methodist, Grafton. She taught art and enjoyed painting.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 1:00PM with Pastor Sonny Palmer presiding. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 11AM until time of service.
