Wanda Rose Merritt Kirkpatrick

Wanda Rose Merritt Kirkpatrick, 75 of Salem ,formerly of Reynoldsville passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 in the United Hospital Center. She was born on July 16, 1934 in Reynoldsville a daughter of the late John and Barbara Fox Merritt. In 1989, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Les Kirkpatrick.

Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Todd and husband James, Salem, Melinda Todd and husband Ronald, Parkersburg, Carla Siders, Jacksonville, FL, four sons, Charles L. Kirkpatrick and wife Gloria, Enid, OK, Timothy Kirkpatrick and wife Kathleen, Harrisville, Ray Kirkpatrick and wife Teresa, Reynoldsville, Barry Kirkpatrick and wife Tammy, Warren, OH, 9 grandchildren, Jamie Todd, Leslie Trott, James, Jr."Jake" Todd, Amber Siders, Barbara Durst, Shane and Michele Todd and Jeremy and Sarah Kirkpatrick and several step grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several step great grandchildren, one sister Elmarie Hickman, Clarksburg and several nieces and nephews. One grandson, Brian Kirkpatrick, one sister, Phyllis Hickman and two brothers, John Merritt Jr. and Bernard Merritt preceded her in death.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a homemaker and attended the Wolf Summit Wesleyan Methodist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 in the Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St., Salem at 1:00PM with Pastor Dan Cope and Pastor Dick Chipps officiating. Interment will follow in the Shriver Cemetery, Hundred, WV at 3:30 PM. Family and friends will be received from 4-8PM on Thursday, December 3, 2009 in the funeral home chapel.
