William “Gregory” Davis

William “Gregory” Davis, 63, of Clarksburg, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023.  He was born on September 17, 1960 in Clarksburg, a son of the late, Orla Aldus Davis, Jr. and Genevieve Fox Davis.

He is survived by his wife of 45years, Carol Nicholas Davis whom he married on September 29, 1978.

He is survived by two children, Cory Davis and wife Ashleigh of Salem and Ashley Hall and husband Tom of Salem; four grandchildren, Sethran Hall, Aiden Hall, Sawyer Davis and Blake Davis; two brothers, Jeffrey Davis of Fairmont and Kevin Davis.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, John Davis; special Aunt who was like a second mother to him, Ruby Fox.

Gregory was Owner and Operator of Davis Timber with his father for over 25 years and then later worked for Edwards Trucking as a long-haul trucker.

He was an avid hockey fan and followed the Washington Capitals.  He enjoyed wood working, carpentry and reading.  He was a simple man and will be missed by his family and friends.
