Willow Irene Mowery

With hearts shattered by grief yet comforted by faith, we announce that our precious baby girl, Willow Irene Mowery, age 1, was called home to Heaven on June 16, 2026. Though her time on earth was far too short, the love, joy, and light she brought into the lives of those who knew her will shine forever.

Born October 25, 2024 to Matthew James Mowery and Tabatha Irene Barker Mowery, Willow was a beautiful little angel whose smile could brighten the darkest day and whose innocent spirit touched countless hearts. In her brief journey, she taught her family the true meaning of unconditional love. Though we wished for many more years of laughter, hugs, and precious memories, God needed His angel home.

Willow loved dinosaurs, penguins, and watching Ms. Rachel, Bluey, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Willow leaves behind her loving parents; her cherished siblings, Alyssa Ann Mowery, Sophia Lynn Mowery, and Nathaniel James Mowery; step-siblings, Jordan Lynn Weekley and Scott Weekley; maternal grandparents, Larry D. Barker of Salem and Teresa Hyde Jenkins (Johnnie) of Salem; paternal grandparents, Chester and Patricia Mowery of Vinton, Ohio; maternal great-grandfather, Larry G. Barker of Salem; paternal great-grandmother, Nila Smith of Point Pleasant, WV; aunts and uncles, Lacey Monroe (James), Kyle Barker (Jamee), Chance Barker (Alexis), Jason Mowery (Carrie), Angela Roney (Chester), and Rachel White; and seventeen cousins who will forever treasure the blessing of having known her; and several great aunts and uncles.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her paternal great grandparents; maternal great-grandparents, William Jesse and Rita Irene Hyde, Barbara June Barker, and her uncle, Robert Monroe, along with several great aunts and uncles who surely embraced her with open arms.

Though Willow's tiny footprints no longer grace our floors, they have left everlasting impressions upon our hearts. She was a light to so many, a precious gift from God whose memory will live on in every butterfly, every gentle breeze, and every ray of sunshine that breaks through the clouds. While our arms ache to hold her, we find peace in knowing she now rests safely in the arms of Jesus.

Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home – Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 3:00 PM until the Funeral Service at 7:00 PM, with Pastor Chester Mowery officiating.
